Yasin El Harrouk is German, with a large part of his family being Moroccan. He takes pride in carrying two different cultures within him. In Germany, he becomes a successful actor and a "Deutschrap star" under the name YONII. Yasin navigates through languages, cultures, and social environments. Sometimes he is on stage at German theaters, other times he records songs with Sido in the studio. YONII blends different languages in his songs—often getting help from his family when writing the rap lyrics. Despite benefiting from this diversity, he always feels torn between two worlds. Each release and every role offer requires careful consideration. His decisions affect his family, his faith, and his career—both German and Arab.
